Mr. Cordeau and his team bring a wealth of experience and knowledge in the field of criminal and penal law to the defense of their clientele. Mr. Jean Cordeau

After completing his law studies at the Université de Montréal in 1980 and his formal training at the École du Barreau in 1981, Mr. Cordeau began practicing in criminal and penal law as soon as he was called to the Bar in 1981.

With nearly 40 years of practice in the field of criminal and penal law, Mr. Cordeau places a great deal of importance in establishing and maintaining a high level of trust with his clients by working with them to find the best solution to their legal issues. His unparalleled expertise in cross-examination has allowed him to successfully conclude legal proceedings for various criminal offences. He is known for his tenacity and meticulousness with regards to even the smallest details of each case.

Over the years, Mr. Cordeau has built an enviable reputation in the defense of driving-related infractions. Incidentally, he is constantly working to advance jurisprudential trends with regards to the respect of fundamental rights by police officers during interventions related to impaired driving. In the case of driving-related infractions, he leaves nothing to chance and anticipates potential problems with regards to maintaining or reacquiring a driver's licence from the Société de l'assurance-automobile du Québec.

Mr. Alexandre Morel

Mr. Morel completed his law degree at the Université de Sherbrooke in 2002. After a few years in the field of copyright law, he reoriented his career towards a field closer to his passion: litigation.

After being called to the Bar of Quebec in 2008, Mr. Morel has served as a prosecutor for the City of Montreal in cases of criminal and penal law. Being called upon to make representations before the Court on a daily basis, he has acquired extensive experience as a litigator.

Mr. Morel joined Mr. Cordeau's team in 2010. His experience as a defense lawyer has allowed him to develop cutting-edge expertise in negotiation, a crucial element in obtaining the best possible result for each of his cases.

Over the last decade, Mr. Morel has represented his clients before all levels of provincial courts in Quebec, for various criminal and penal infractions. In 2015, he was awarded a temporary license to practice law in Ontario.

Mr. Louis-Philippe Nadon

Mr. Nadon earned his law degree at the Université de Sherbrooke. He began his career in 2008 articling for Mr. Jean Cordeau. A member of the Bar for over 10 years, Mr. Nadon is now specialized in penal law.

Over the years, he has acquired a solid expertise in highway safety code cases. Whether you need to contest a statement of offence, request a transitional restricted licence, a revocation of judgement or even withdrawal of a guilty plea, Mr. Nadon can help.

Mr. Félix Racicot

After completing his studies at the Université du Québec à Montréal as well as his theoretical training at the École du Barreau à Montréal, Mr. Félix Racicot began his articling at Cordeau Avocats after having worked as a student for a year. Mr. Racicot was hired as a lawyer after being called to the Bar in july 2018.

Having practiced mainly in the fields of criminal and penal law, he has appeared before municipal courts and the Court of Québec. He also completes exhaustive jurisprudential research, writing of procedures and preparatory meetings with his clients in preparation for their trial.

Mr. Racicot is always up-to-date with recent jurisprudential decisions and concepts of law that may prove beneficial in the defense of his clients. He distinguishes himself thanks to his writing skills and attention to detail.
